Trying our hands on making home made kombucha. Not gonna lie. I have no clue on how it’s done or what happens in the background. I would just ask Dara and trust her on the process. All I know is that it is a fermented tea drink with the help of bacteria and yeast called a “scoby“.

The fermented tea itself takes about 5 days. Then there’s another 2-3 days to add the flavouring which is exactly what we just did. It’s pretty cool.

There’s all this debate about the health benefits from this beverage, but hey, people drink beer right? I believe it is the same process. And I like the sweet carbonated taste of this one. It’s one step closer to our hippie diploma. And I might never need to buy soda again (I can’t believe I just said that).
